Welcome to the Eastern Connecticut Conservation District BLOG. District staff and board members are working diligently to improve the water quality of our rivers, lakes, streams and Long Island Sound. Enough cannot be said about clean water for drinking, swimming and wildlife habitat.

ECCD is expanding our social media presence. Stay tuned for future updates.
ECCD is looking forward to updating the Muddy Brook and Little River Water Quality Improvement Plan, protecting the watershed, Roseland Lake and drinking water for the Town of Putnam. This is important work that requires a lot of collaboration from local stakeholders and the Towns of Putnam and Woodstock.
Our staff is gearing up to get to work on this project.
I’m very grateful to be interning for the ECCD! They are the best!
